Orange Pudding Recipe | Orange Kheer | Indian Desert – Orange Pudding is a speedy and easy to make dessert recipe. With very few ingredients you can make a tasty, delicious, creamy Orange Pudding at home. Orange pudding is a good and healthy dessert choice during the festival or an occasional meal for guests.
Orange Pudding is a very healthy food as orange is rich in vitamin C and milk is a whole meal in itself. Consumption of orange reduces aging and risk of cancer. Orange also helps to increase immunity power of the body.
Orange is consumed in many ways as orange juice, orange barfi, orange halwa and what not. Orange juice is very refreshing after a long tiring day.
Orange is a worldwide famous fruit finds its roots in Southeast region of the Himalayas, now produced in many countries worldwide. There is a city in India, Nagpur which is known as “Orange City,” famous for significant production and exceptional quality of oranges.

- 2.5 Cups Cups Milk (Dudh)
- 1 piece Large Orange (Santra)
- 1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder (Elaychi Powder)
- 3-4 strands Saffron (Kesar)
- 1 tbsp Sugar to taste (Chini)
- 1/2 tbsp Almonds (Badam)
- 1/2 tbsp Pistachios (Pista)
Take a skillet pan and add 2.5 cups of milk, stir milk continuously for 5 minutes on low flame. Lt it boils and then simmers for another 15 to 17 minutes till the milk gets thicken.
Add ½ tsp of cardamom powder, few strands of saffron prier soaked in milk. Mix it well.
Add some sugar to taste and again mix well.
Transfer the milk to a bowl; add one large roughly chopped orange. Mix well.
Garnish the Orange Pudding with some roughly chopped almonds and pistachios.
Smooth, creamy Orange Pudding is ready to serve.
