- 1 tbsp Clarified Butter (Ghee)
- 2 cups Lotus Seeds (Makhana)
- 2.5 cups Milk (Dudh)
- 1 tsp Cardamom Powder (Ilyich Powder)
- 1 tbsp Cashew (Kaju)
- 1 tbsp Pistachio (Pista)
- 1/4 cup Sugar (Chini)
Take a skillet pan; add 1 tbsp of clarified butter, let it melt.
Add 2 cups of lotus seeds, roast it for 3 to 4 minutes. Keep it aside.
Add 2.5 cups of milk to a shallow bottom pan, boil the milk for 10 minutes and add one tsp of cardamom powder. Mix well.
Add roasted lotus seeds, mix well and add 1 tbsp of cashew, 1 tbsp of pistachio. Stir well and boil it for 15 minutes on low flame with continuous stirring.
Add ¼ cup of sugar and mix well.
Delectable Lotus Seeds Pudding or Makhane ki Kheer is ready to serve.
